SYNERCARD PARTNERS WITH LIPI DATA SYSTEMS TO DISTRIBUTE SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS IN INDIA

GATINEAU, Quebec , May 8, 2006 – Synercard, developer of the critically acclaimed Asure ID ® suite of photo ID and ID card application control software and member of HID Global, a leading supplier and manufacturer in the access control industry, today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Lipi Data Systems Ltd. , one of India’s five largest computer peripherals companies. Lipi Data Systems provides a variety of printing systems and smart card solutions to the vast and rapidly expanding access control, identification and security markets in India.

This agreement makes Lipi Data Systems the first company in India to distribute Synercard’s products and integrate them into the company’s smart card and printer solutions. As a Synercard partner, Lipi Data Systems can now offer its customers a complete solution package that can be tailored to meet their specific needs which range from basic ID systems to integrated smart card applications.

And while the access control and identification industry is not new to India, it has exploded during the past two years, growing at 30-35 per cent in 2004 and continuing at that rate to the present. This is largely due to heightened security requirements during an era of terrorism and tension and the tremendous government infrastructure growth that is currently taking place in India, particularly in the areas of healthcare, transportation and education.
