Most cards follow the standard credit card (CR80) form factor. However, don't limit yourself if your application can benefit from smaller, larger, or thicker cards! HID Identity can provide large format cards popularized at security conscious venues such as the Olympics and the U.S. Open®. Enhance the functionality of these cards by integrating either proximity or contactless smart card technology.

Though the credit card standard is most prevalent, high tech cards can often benefit from custom dimensions - especially increased thickness. Thicker cards provide a more consistent print surface for dye sublimation printers, thereby increasing print yield. Adding a few thousandths of an inch to the thickness of your card also increases durability.

Improving durability and printability on high value cards by simply changing dimensions is a smart idea. Don't be forced into a single form factor for your card. HID Identity can go beyond the standard.
