HID Identity has a long standing commitment to serving universities and colleges and in recent years has been advising the university community about the advantages of the University 1000™ Card Program and iCLASS™, as well as 125 kHz proximity.

The University 1000™ Card Program simplifies the management of multiple card-based systems by unifying user identification through the use of a standard 16 digit ISO number and one very durable card, both of which can serve one student through the duration of that student’s campus life.

And, since PET/PVC composite cards have become commonplace for magnetic stripe university cards, the same reasoning applies to Contactless cards. We often make recommendations about anti-counterfeiting and custom graphics with an eye towards creating customized solutions for this very unique environment.
